A Financial Boost

Updated: Nov 24

Bank

At TCDF, sustainability is key, which means they focus on self-reliance and a healthy way of living. A great example of this is the vocational training center, where young people with disabilities learn new skills. This is the only project where children come to the campus in Paksong.

One of those young people is Thanin Sukchareum, also known as Bank (17), who has autism. Since 2018, he has been coming to the campus four days a week. Thanks to a scholarship, he can attend vocational training. Bank works with others on the farm and helps package products made on the campus for sale. With the support of TCDF, Bank is building a future step by step where he can become self-reliant, in his own way.

That's what TCDF is all about: giving everyone a chance to grow!

New Sponsor for Bike4Kids: Van Verre Reizen

We have some fantastic news at Bike4Kids: we’re thrilled to welcome a new sponsor for our upcoming bike ride from Hanoi to Paksong. This time, we have the honor of having Van Verre Reizen on board! They have made a generous financial contribution, which has already been deposited into the account of the Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF). On behalf of the entire Bike4Kids team and the many Thai children we support: ขอบคุณ khop khun krap (thank you)!

Van Verre Reizen: A World of Experience

Van Verre Reizen is not your typical travel agency. Behind this company is the life’s work of Emmy Nijman, who has had a special connection with Asia since 1987. First as a journalist, then as a travel organizer, and finally, since the late '90s, as the founder of her own travel agency. Emmy, now running the business alongside her son Jur, and her team have built an impressive level of expertise when it comes to travel to far-off destinations.

What makes Van Verre Reizen special is the personal contact they have with their customers. This is not an agency that sells you a standard vacation package. No, they truly listen to your wishes and make sure your trip aligns perfectly with your ideas. Even in my own network, I know people who have traveled with Van Verre Reizen, and they all return with glowing reviews.

A Passion for Countries far away

Why are we so excited to have Van Verre Reizen as part of our bike ride? Simple: we share the same passion! Just like us at Bike4Kids, they have a deep love for far-off countries and the adventure that travel brings. Their dedication to discovering new cultures and pushing boundaries fits perfectly with the spirit of our sponsorship ride.

Get to Know Van Verre Reizen

If you’ve got a dream trip in mind to Asia (or anywhere else in the world), we highly recommend getting in touch with Van Verre Reizen. Not only will they help you plan the trip of a lifetime, but they also have a big heart for initiatives like Bike4Kids. Who knows, you might even find inspiration for your next adventure!

So, let’s give Van Verre Reizen a big thank you again for supporting our bike ride, and maybe we’ll see you along the bike route!

Preparations and Sponsorship: Kilometer by Kilometer Towards a Better Future

With just three weeks left until we set off for Hanoi, we’ve already completed 7,600 training kilometers. Donate €5 per kilometer and directly contribute to a better future for children in Thailand.

We aim to make the Bike4Kids newsletter a valuable source of information about our journey, so you’ll always be up to date on the latest news and know how to follow and support us. Our goal is to expand our network as widely as possible.

You can help us tremendously by sharing this newsletter with friends, family, or colleagues who might be interested in our work.

Thank You

Thank you for following our adventure in Asia.

Want to help make a difference for disadvantaged Thai children? Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal.
