Good news! Dries Kasper, a cousin of Herman, is joining us! Together, 3500 km on the bike through Southeast Asia for the Thai Child Development Foundation.
Getting to Know Dries
How do you decide to make such a journey when you are already 75 years old? Dries explains: “It all started when I took my first long-distance bike trip with Herman last year along the Meuse River to Verdun in France. I've always been very active my whole life; running, cycling, and ice skating, including twice completing the Elfstedentocht. I live in Vorden in the Achterhoek, and every winter, a group of friends and I go ice skating in Deventer or, if possible, on natural ice. With this group, I cycle many kilometers every week. Currently, I’m preparing a bit more intensively for this new challenge and also go spinning at the gym. Now that the preparations are in full swing, I’m getting more and more excited and looking forward to the start of our journey.”
Making a Difference Together
Meanwhile, Herman continues his training, with 4500 kilometers on his odometer and 14 weeks to go until departure for Hanoi. By sponsoring a kilometer for €5, you help create a better future for children in Thailand. Together, we can make a world of difference, kilometer by kilometer.
Thank you for your participation and support of the journey!
