Bike4Kids: Together in Action for a Better Future!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve really rolled up our sleeves to give the
Bike4Kids project a solid boost. With initiatives ranging from local sports clubs to radio stations, there's been a lot of movement. Curious about what’s been going on? Read on!
Mieke Needs Helpers to Scratch Off Booklets—Who’s In?
Mieke has launched a new campaign called “We’ll Tackle This Together.” She’s created 10 booklets, each containing 25 (S)Teun pigs. Each pig has a scratch-off layer, with amounts between €0.50 and €3.00 hidden underneath.
The idea is that people scratch off one or more boxes and donate the amount revealed. This can be done at schools, clubs, or even with family/friends at parties or markets. Each booklet also includes 25 coupon sheets, with 8 attractive discount coupons per sheet. Every booklet raises €50. Who wants to help
Mieke get a booklet fully scratched off?
Dries and Hermien's Campaign in Vorden
In Vorden, Dries and Hermien (Dries’ partner) have been busy. They’ve distributed flyers and set up a brilliant campaign at the local gym: photos of Thai children with a donation box underneath. The result? People in the gym are immediately drawn in by the images and generously donate. And we’re seeing the impact! The number of newsletter subscribers is growing, and this week nearly 150 people are reading our blog!
The Stadskrant Moment in Edam
One of the highlights of the past few weeks? Our article in the Edam city newspaper! It was a great opportunity to inform the local community about what we’re doing, and of course, invite everyone to join us.
After all, who wouldn’t want to contribute to a good cause? And the best part? The responses are rolling in!
People want to help, donate, and get involved. This is exactly why we do what we do.
On LOVE Radio
We were also guests on LOVE Radio (Local Broadcasting for Volendam and Surroundings). For those who missed it: we had an in-depth interview where we talked about all the details of our sponsorship ride.
LOVE Radio is very popular in Volendam, and it was wonderful to spread our message through this platform. We’re excited to reach so many people!
With all these fantastic actions, together we can truly make a difference for the children of TCDF. Step by step, we’re cycling toward a brighter future!
Want to get involved? Donate, share our newsletter, or help with the scratch-off campaign. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!
Thank you all!
Give the Invisible Power
Thailand is making big progress, but unfortunately, rural communities are often left behind. They lack access to the essential care and education they desperately need. At the Thai Child Development Foundation, they see this gap and step in passionately. Bike4Kids supports this mission, ensuring that children who fall through the cracks receive the support they deserve.
Preparations and Sponsorship: Kilometer by Kilometer Towards a Better Future
With only three weeks left until our departure to Hanoi, we’ve already completed 7,800 training kilometers. Our goal is to reach 8,000 km before we leave.
Donate €5 per kilometer now, and you’ll directly contribute to a brighter future for children in Thailand.
We aim to use the Bike4Kids newsletter to keep you updated on our journey, so you always have the latest news and know how to follow and support us. Our goal is to expand our network as widely as possible.
You can help us greatly by sharing this newsletter with friends, family, or colleagues who might also be interested in our work!
